Hamburg during Port Anniversay.
Without knowing it, I booked May 7-11 in Hamburg, first time, for sightseeing. The Port Anniversary is May 8-12. One million people will line the harbor.
Will it be do crowded as to spoil the visit?
We’d like to see the fireworks, but concerned about 3 days of overflowing people.we already have a suite at the Linder Am Michel, would that be packed outside or not in a bad spot?

The port week is a grand festival, HH puts on a big show, so you benefit from some extra activities but have a bit of crowding.

Any other opinions?
Will I be able to get into restaurants, get taxis/Uber etc?

As for Uber, it's very specialized in Germany and often just an intermediary. Cabs should be available, I wouldn't worry too much about that. Hamburg will be full, but only in parts. As the harbor festival offers its own gastronomy, restaurants may not be so badly affected. However, popular restaurants require reservations anyway. Also bear in mind that many guests at the harbor festival live in Hamburg or come from the surrounding area.

What do you mean by other options? Another hotel in Hamburg won't change much.
