BMW Museum and Welt: Just walk to the Königsplatz or Haupbahnhof, take the U1/2 to Scheidplatz, change to the U3 and get off at Petuelring and walk half a mile.

The Verkehrmuseum is a good one too: http://www.deutsches-museum.de/en/ve...m/information/

The Efa planner available here: http://efa.mvv-muenchen.de/index.html#trip@enquiry is a good guide for public transport.

The 5 Museums under the Pinakothek umbrella should take care of you needs:
https://www.pinakothek.de/en

The Lenbachhaus should also be interesting for you: http://www.lenbachhaus.de/?L=1

I bought my car from BMW using the European delivery system. When I picked it up they offered a factory tour, which was really interesting. I think you can book this in advance if you're interested.

Not sure if it's the same place now though as the newer BMW Welt was not open then.

For tea, Dallmayr is the place. Dallmayr is a classical food hall, located very centrally in Munich (between Marienplatz and the Nationaltheater (the State Opera). They have a large selection of tea blends, and on the second floor they have a very nice tea room (called Café-Bistro) which serves tea, cakes, sandwiches etc. Decor is fifties chic, the tea selection is large and excellent, and they have great cakes.

As for traditional German food, there is a large number of beer halls, serving good quality traditional food.

Everyone have their favourite: I like Zum Fransiskaner (close to the Nationaltheater), especially sitting outdoors in the summer:
zum-franziskaner.de

Closer to the station, and somewhat more touristy, but great for people watching outdoors as it is on the main pedestrian street is Zun Augustiner
augustiner-restaurant.com

For Haxe (pork joints) the best place is Haxnbauer, close to the Hofbräuhaus. Should I choose one of these for the food, I'd go for Haxnbauer

BMW Welt is the delivery center cum entrance to the museum and starting point for the plant tour. You can also gawk at the current line of their cars and bikes.
