Watching World Cup in Munich
I'll be in Munich from July 10th till July 16th.
World Cup final will be held on 13th July 2014.
Anyone know a good place to enjoy the game ?
Do they set up projector screens at football stadiums ? How much to get in ? How to get there ? etc.
Thanks.

They have place to watch it all over town:

The first eight suggestions on the page above would be my advice too. Watching it in the olympic stadium may have its charm, but it may get pretty cold and windy there.

Thank you offerendum.
How's the atmosphere there ? I'm not expecting it to be like the actual stadium at Maracana, Rio de Janeiro, but how's it? And I happen to be a fan of Germany's national team.
Let's hope Germany wins it this time ?
Did a google search, and found the official website for Olympiastadion Munich.

It states that airing will only be done if there's a German team's participation. Let's hope Germany makes it to the final, and hopefully win it all.
oliver2002, thanks for the suggestions. So, in July, summer, it's cold/chilly there ? If I happen to be there, I guess I'll be bringing my sweater then?

July should be warm in MUC, but you never know. If it rains the stadium is no good at all.
Starting with the semifinals, all games start at 10pm Munich time, the final at 9pm.

I would prefer to be indoors or in a Beergarden that late.
PS: The new Maracan that will host the final will be completely devoid of the old spirit

I've been following Germany since 1990, when they won the world cup, and 1996 Euro ... they way the came back from behind to beat Czech Republic ... it still is fresh in my memory ...
I think the German team is very capable in every position ... but lacking fire power ...
Klose, and Podolski ... One's too old, and another not consistent ... Muller, Reus, Schurrle ... they're not natural finishers ... such a shame Mario Gomez was injured most of the season ...

However, you've got the best goal keeper in the world in Neuer ... best overall defence and midfielder out there ... and your midfielders are ridiculously good ... Draxler, Gotze, Khedira, Kroos, Schweinsteiger, Ozil ...
Only midfielder out there that looks better is Spain, but they're getting old, and they're nowhere close to what they were 4 years ago ...
I'm not worried about Argentina ... too much fire power, defence is rubbish ...
Only other team I think would pose a threat to Germany is Brazil, just because they're the host ... home field advantage ... Other than that, doesn't look that good ... too much drama in the team, and full of divers ...
Germany needs to break the jinx of being the first non-American team to win in South America ...

Good luck!

Just as an fyi: Another option may be the "Stadion an der Schleissheimer Strasse", a well known football-pub.

Reservation recommended, since all scheduled German games, the opening game and Netherlands-Spain are fully booked. They do offer some "first come-first serve"-seats for every game, but these are only a few ...
It is, imho, one of the best football-pubs in Germany!
