TXL connecting flight

I have a connecting flight soon with Airberlin at TXL. I should be arriving in terminal C and my next flight is in terminal A, i have exactly 1 hour, no customs or anything but i have looked everywhere about connecting there and all i can find is that every gate has its own security. My question is, how long of a walk is it from C to A and is there signs? Will I have to go outside or is there a hallway that connects the 2 buildings. How long does security take at the gates? anyways thanks for the help!

Plenty of signs pointing you in the right direction, which should be a 10-15 minutes walk tops. The walk is not entirely indoors, but it is covered the whole way. Security is entirely dependent on how full the flight is and whether or not you have status, but an hour should be more than enough time to make your connection, assuming your inbound flight arrives on time.

That's loads of time. You will need 15 mins tops, so all is down to your arriving flight being on time. Signs will direct you to the A gates.
