Getting from Term1 to Term2 at MUC

Hi,

My fam and I (8 of us) are all arriving in MUC on the morning of Jul17. We'd like to shower before we head out and noticed that there are lounges in the Priority Pass network that have showers in them. Only problem is that we're arriving at Terminal 2 and the lounge is at Terminal 1. Is there a way to transit terminals without having to exit and re-enter security?

Thanks for the help!

I was recently in Munich airport and tried to meet a friend there. Yes, once you have gone through passport control, you can easily walk from one terminal to the other. You can find maps of the terminals here: http://www.munich-airport.de/en/cons...e/T1/index.jsp (that's terminal 1).

There are information desks (with humans) in both terminals. If in doubt, you can ask at one of them.

There is an airside bus from T2 to T1 which you could take to transfer. If you are lucky enough to stay airside upon arrival the bus stop can be found downstairs from the G level. However if you are arriving from outside Schengen, you will end up outside security after passport control. Once you are landside, you cannot enter T1 airside without a valid departure boarding pass. That means you won't be able to enter the PP lounge.

Instead head for the public showers available from MUC airport:

Thank you both!

Sounds like if I'm originating outside of the Schengen zone (which I am -- NYC), I'll be spit out landside after passport control. And although I could easily walk from one terminal to the other, I won't be able to get back through security without a valid boarding pass (which I won't have). Is that correct?

Thanks for the info about the public showers! The idea was to not have to shell out any money, but it's certainly better than nothing. Any idea if they're clean? I would hate to pay 15Euros and then be stuck showering in a hole.

Flights from NYC disembark into level H. From there you can get to level G by carefully turning left after passport control. Note that you are in Schengen now. The Atlantic lounge in T1C is non-shengen, so even if you manage to find the T2-T1 bus, I doubt it will drop you in T1C. AFAIK it goes to T1E.

I would call the Atlantik lounge and ask if they will let you in:

Alternatively, why not take a day room in the onsite hotel? If you are arriving on LH its available at a rebate. The regular rate is 150

The MUC airport showers are fine. This is Germany after all.
