Dresden/Berlin
I will be traveling to Berlin for 4 days June 27-July 1 and had several questions.
Is the weather around 55-60 F at that time? Will I need a jacket??
Is the Allied Museum or Checkpoint Charlie Museum worth going to?
Is Dresden best done independently or with guided tour (Original Berlin Walks/Vive Berlin) What is there to see in Dresden?
Anybody been up Victory Column?

Normally it should be warm and sometimes even hot. But a light jacked is never a mistake.

Personally, I like the former british airfield "Gatow". They have a lot of military aircrafts and a an interesting exhibition about the Berlin Airlift and the cold war from the military perspective.
An other thing is the "Gedenksttte Deutscher Widerstand" at the Bendlerblock (German Federal Department of Defense) which is mostly about the Anto-Hitler-Plot of Graf Schenck von Stauffenber ("Operation Valkyrie")
Maybe this could help you a bit with your decision.

Perfectly doable without a tour. For me the New Green Vault and Historic Green Vault (pretimed tickets needed) were highlights of Dresden. Baroque on steroids. Good day trips to Pillnitz, Meissen, or day hikes in the area also.

Dresden is very much walkable, no need to go on a guided tour. There is a hop-on-hop-off bus service that you might find useful.

I found the Checkpoint Charlie museum to be fascinating, especially the stories of the various escape attempts. Of course if the history of the wall is not interesting to you, then you should skip it.
