The Berliner Unterwelten tours are a good way to see a hidden history of Berlin.

It's a little north of the city but well worth it. On your way back into town you can check out Prater Garden, a great beer garden.

Ok, plan to spend the Sunday in Potsdam. Easy 20 minutes train ride from Hauptbahnhof or Zoo. You need to see Sanssouci Castle, Neues Palais Castle, Pfingstberg, the historic town centre, the Dutch Quarter, the Russian (historic, not red army) Quarter, Nikolaikirche, Orangerie, Krongut Bornstaedt (have lunch there), Neuer Garten. You will hardly find so much of German 17th to 19th century history in on place.
