Munich May Day..thing to do?

Hi,

I will be in Munich for two nights April 29th,30th over May Day weekend leaving May 1st to Istanbul for Formula 1!
Been to FRA before, never been to Munich...should i expect a good party? (obviously good beer is assumed)

Any suggestions since Iam only there for two nights? Breweries are a must as well!

Keep in mind in gonna be coming from 7 debilitating night in Budapest,Vienna,Prague

Augustine Brustuben for beer and drink. I consider Augustiner one of the best beers in Munich. It's my personal favorite.

If the weather is good check out the outdoor beergarden at the English Garden (Englischer Garten).

the beginning of may can be nice. last year it wasn't :-) or mayfest in town was just rain and mud.

but don't expect Munich to be all party. you need to find a village where they put up a maytree (each town does every 5 years). in case you want to visit one, you can hop on the S7 commutertrain in the direction of wolfratshausen and go to the town of Baierbrunn (maybe 20 Minutes from the main station) there is a mayfest this year on the 1st.
otherwise stay in the city, do the beergardens if the weather is nice.
augustiner is a real good choice. I'd suggest to go to this one:

http://www.augustinerkeller.de/

it's much nicer than the one right downtown.
if you need more info feel free to ask.
