Exclamation New heavy snow falls

Everyone who plans to fly to Germany today or the next days should check with his airline about weather related cancellations. Heavy snow falls causing airport closures. Frankfurt was shut down for 4 hours last night. So be patient.

I watched the Tagesschau last night, with reporting on drivers stuck on various Autobahnen and schools not opening.

In other countries, there have been fatalities due to the cold so let's hope things remain less severe in Germany.

MUC left the cots up from last week. The rental car agencies were sold out for most of the week as a follow up from the previous weather.

Be aware too that if you are being rebooked on trains that you may have some challenges there as well.

It is starting again. A low pressure systems is coming form the north west bringing new snow during the day and ice rain. Weather warnings have been issued.

Tonight around 6pm new snow falls are expected. So if you have a flight this evening to or from Frankfurt be prepared for delays.
