Transfer time at FRA - Question!

Hi all

We are doing EWR-FRA and FRA-DUB on two separate tickets. Time between flights is 70 minutes. Is this enough? EWR-FRA is on CO (Ticket issued by LH) and FRA-DUB is on LH.

Can we book our luggage through from EWR-DUB? Do we only pass immigration at DUB?

EWR can certainly tag your luggage all the way through. Since you are arriving in FRA and then departing to a non-Schengen location, you should not be passing through passport control at all in Frankfurt. You will land at the same terminal as you depart from, so the most time consuming part should be deplaning. You should be fine, but I don't think you'll have much time to spare in FRA. As soon as you get into the terminal, find the flight connections board and find your gate, as it may very well involve being bused out to the plane.

Thanks! Would it help things along if I got to LH in EWR to print my BP for FRA-DUB?

70 mins sounds a little tight but you should be ok provided the incoming flight is early or on time. You should be able to check-in online for your FRA-DUB flight 23 hrs before departure and print a boarding pass. With two separate tickets I'm sure you are aware you will not be automatically put on a later flight if you miss your connection - assuming that you are not on a flexible ticket
