Germany city guide book.....
I've read that some hotels in Germany give a free "city guide" book that gives discounts to tours and the like.
Anyone have access to one of these.....care to send me one (I'd pay for it if there is a charge + postage).
*We have a trip next year and I just wanted to take a look at one.
thanks!

Not that I have one but you should maybe clarify which city / cities you are looking for and what kind of attractions / discounts, etc. are of your interest.

General information about discounts and special deals might be available through the German National Tourist Office - you can call or contact them online:

PM me if the online brochures don't answer your questions. We're doing the tourist thing in Munich next week for the first time, staying at the Courtyard (we've been told it's walking distance to the main railway station). Would be happy to pick up brochures from the lobby and the tourist info centre. Can easily mail them to you (once we get back to the States) if you want to pay for postage? I've never heard of the city guide book but can certainly ask when I get there.

That would be awesome. I can either paypal you the postage or write a check (what ever is easier for you).
I'm not sure about the city guide book....I was told that they had one similar to NYC.
Thanks!!!

In the interim, my article on a few favorite places in Munich might give you some food for thought.
If you have any questions about things to do in Munich, let me know here.

I am at least aware of restaurant voucher books. You can check at Gutscheinbuch.de. Normally two-for-one vouchers and pretty good value for money if you stay in one city for a period of time.

Munich is where we will be. Its our first time in the city/country so I'm not sure what are in these guide discount books.
