Thanks - I haven't heard about this before. I guess being MGM gold and Caesars Diamond I'm out of luck so if I want to go to the bahamas I'll stick with Atlantis. Do you know how they compare?

From small print:
  • Participants must obtain at least six (6) hours of rated play on a table game or slot machine (“Rated Play Requirement”) during their Promotion Reservation (as such term is defined hereinbelow).
If a participant does not meet the Rated Play Requirement, participant will incur the Charge (as described below). Rated Play from the Baha Mar Sportsbook by William Hill cannot be counted toward the Rated Play Requirement.

Any participant who is unable to comply with the Rated Play Requirement will incur a charge equal to 30 per cent of the retail room rate for the Hotel for each night of the Promotion Reservation plus all taxes, resort fees and service charges (the “Charge”) for non-compliance with the terms of the Promotion.

Baha Mar is by far the nicer of the two. It’s also like 25 years newer. Atlantis is starting to show its age and with the massive water park there seems like there’s kids everywhere. Baha Mar just finished their big water park last year so maybe that has occurred over there too, I haven’t been back yet.

Casino wise, the minimums were lower at Atlantis but I didn’t find service or anything that much different besides just the overall more luxurious feel of Baha Mar.

Also when I was there, the island was suffering from power outages constantly. Atlantis was usually included in that but at Baha Mar, we never lost power once.

So it turns out I'll be staying at Baha Mar for a destination wedding. Has anyone been there recently on an offer? When I was in Vegas over NYE I stopped by Mirage and matched form MGM Gold to Icon. My understanding is that Unity (Hard Rock's program) is the same program for Florida, AC and Vegas properties so I'm not sure why they are separated on the offers (and doesn't include Mirage). Similarly it doesn't include Resorts World (Genting) which I also tier matched to A lister. I listed the updated match offers below but anyone know how often they update it? Has anyone been able to get a match offer with a tier that's not listed?
  • Hard Rock Florida: XCARD, Icon
  • Hard Rock Atlantic City: XCARD
  • Wynn Las Vegas and Massachusetts: Black, Platinum
  • Venetian Las Vegas: Paiza Gold
  • Cosmopolitan Las Vegas: Platinum
  • MGM Resorts: Noir, Platinum
  • Caesars: Seven Stars, Diamond Elite, Diamond Plus
  • Ocean Casino Resort Atlantic City: Reserve

I stopped in around Christmas while staying down the road at Sandals. Its a nice property for sure but I did find it to be overrun with kids. Lots of whom were running around the casino unsupervised.
