Do MLife Accounts Expire?

Do MLife Accounts Expire?

Many moons ago when I turned 21, I went to an MGM in Las Vegas and got a loyalty card. When I went to Vegas again years later, I didn't bring my card, and went up to the window, to let them know that I forgot my card, where they gave me a new card with a new number.

Later on, I went to an MGM somewhere, where I didn't bring my card because I wasn't planning on going there, but my friends decided to go, so I went with them. I went to the window, told them that I didn't bring my card, handed them my ID, and was given yet another new card with a new number.

Then in 2019, my friends and I were planning on going to a casino, but not an MGM. We later decided to go to the MGM Northfield Park where I went to the kiosk to reprint my card, but when I inserted my ID, it said that I had multiple accounts and to see someone at the window. I went to the window, told them what the kiosk told me, and was issued yet another new card.

Now, I have plans to go to an MGM casino next month and wanted to use the Hyatt status upgrade benefit to be gold. I went online, and tried to register the MLife card I got from Northfield Park. Of course, the website didn't have an option to register the existing card, so I signed up for a new account and was issued yet another new account/card number. Since I don't have a physical card with this number, will they issue me yet another new card when I go to the casino, or would they simply print me a new one since I'd be Gold by then? Do all of my previous accounts expire? If not, do they just exist forever, or are MGM's systems smart enough to eventually link them all to me/the most current account?

Your issue sounds like a mess. Should've been fixed by the first CSR. What you probably need to do is either call/email and insist on merging and/or deleting any duplicate accounts. This way it'll prevent future issues that may arise. It shouldn't be too hard if you signed up for all the accounts using the same info.

Do you have a physical card for any of your accounts? Do any of them have any history of play? I would try to look for and keep the one with any history of play. Try to sign on or register with an account where you have the number or I guess try whichever ones you have.

I have a physical card from MGM Northfield Park. The cards from the MGMs before and the ones from Vegas have been misplaced. I should have play activity on all of them although they’d be years old by now. I just requested the status match to my new MLife account so hopefully I can get this squared away when I get to an MGM.
