Caesars TR status extension

Do you guys think Caesars will extend status for a year like M-life is doing?

A couple restaurants by my house are part of the TR I-dine program and I also have a TR Visa so not worried about losing points from expiring but hoping they extend status like M-life announced.

Even if the casinos open up again soon people aren't going to be up for travelling anytime soon and one conference I go to in Vegas in September already announced they aren't having it this year.

IMO, they probably will. Since MLIFE and Cosmo has already extended tier status/benefits, they may follow suit. CET has extended RC expiration until at least September so they might as well.

Even if they don't, it's really not that hard these days to get CR Diamond.

I have my status through their status match agreement with Wyndham and wouldn't have requalified for diamond with Wyndham this year even if things would have remained normal so hopefully if Caesars doesn't extend status then Wyndham will and I can just status match again in January. A friend of mine lost his diamond status and in February got a challenge that if he put $5k on his Caesars credit card in three months they would reinstate his status through January of 2021 so maybe they'll have that promo again. I can easily put enough on my credit card for the VIP card which gives me all the benefits I like from diamond anyway except the $100 dining credit and the waiving of resort fees (don't really care about lounge since you have to use 1000 points to get in) but VIP card doesn't work outside of Vegas and most of my Caesar visits are to Windsor and it comes in handy for the buffet line there.

Fortunately I was in Vegas in early March just before the shutdown so was able to use my $100 dining credit this year at least.

Wyndham and Caesars has reciprocal tier matching as you may know already. Many people have been taking advantage of it to cross match the last few years. Wyndham expires December 31st, but CR expires January 31st. So even if your Wyndham status was temporary, all you have to do is match CR Diamond to Wyndham Diamond at the end of November. When January comes around, then use your Wyndham Diamond to match back to CR Diamond.

As long as Wyndham and CET has this partnership and the reciprocal tier matching is still there, most would not be concerned if there's a tier extension or not.

Thanks, forgot that TR expires on 1/31. If Wyndham doesn't extend their status, I'll just go that route. My Wyndham status wasn't through a match or challenge, I usually have a lot of stays with Wyndham but won't this year.

I wonder how this will work, can people rematch from Wyndham and get another DD. How will CET see things when you try to rematch and you are already Diamond

If I use Tier Benefits, like the $100 Diamond Dinner, in 2020 do I get those benefits again in 2021 as part of the extension?

No. If you use your benefits in 2020 you will not have them available in 2021. If you do not use your benefits in 2020, they will be extended and available to use in 2021.

If you have earned status for 2021 then you will have a new set of benefits available, like normal.

In the SSI newsletter (as well as in email I received from TR), one month will have 5X TC and 5X RC; in AC "multipliers" were the norm several times month and particularly on holiday weekends--I assume AC players will get both
They also note RC expiration has been extended to at least 9/1/20.
All of this hinges on a timely reopening, many states are being more liberal than either Nevada or NJ.

Don't count on it. See the post above yours. That's directly from the Caesar's FAQ.

I thought that might be the case. Wishful thinking. I got the email and didnt dig in yet. I do get an extra year to book my retreat.

These multipliers were becoming pretty common in non-Atlantic City markets too. I made the mistake of playing at Harrah's Ak-Chin once. Why a mistake? Because based on that one visit they started cranking out an insane volume of direct mail to jam up my mailbox... Ak-Chin was doing frequent multipliers per their junk mail.

Also noticed frequent multipliers of up to 10X on RCs on select Fridays/Sundays and (I believe) 5X on TCs at the Horseshoe SHV earlier in the Feb-Mar timeframe this year.

Louisiana is a decent size market for Caesars with Harrahs NOLA and Horseshoe and LA Downs racino around SHV. Believe that all gambling in the state is still shut down.

But I expect promotions galore across the Caesars network later this year. (Re)qualification will be easier than ever.

I earned diamond in 2019. The way I read it is if I use my $100 dinner in 2020 that means I need to earn 12k+ TC in 2020 to get another $100 dinner in 2021. Every other benefit (e.g. resort fee waiver) I get through 1/2022 regardless. Is that correct? If so I may avoid going in 2019 and make additional trips in 2021 (I can use my $100 cert in January 2021).

According to the new T&Cs, that's correct.
