Companion Pass
So, the companion pass went live. However, it only works on revenue flights and not reward flights at the moment. Anyone knows if reward flights are also included or just an issue with the website? FAQ mentions GoWIld pass program is the exception only, no mention of award flights.

Here is another Gem that most people have overlooked.
- Limited Seats:
While the companion travel benefit allows you to bring a companion for the cost of taxes and fees, seats are capacity-controlled. This means that the airline can limit the number of companion tickets sold on any given flight.

Definitely interested in hearing how this perk works in the real world. I keep the WN companion pass, but I'd be interested in another one with a different set of nonstop destinations - particularly if both myself and my companion are allowed to select/purchase Up Front seats.

I just used it to book a flight - currently have the Southwest companion pass. You have to add your companion during booking unlike Southwest where you can add your companion at any time. Only pay taxes and fees, you don't pay the CIC - so in terms of cost it's the same as Southwest. They updated their FAQ to exclude award flights in addition to gowild, Southwest on the other hand allows use of companion pass on award flights. Process was pretty simple, log into your account and book a flight as you normally would and it will apply the companion discount (ticket + CIC charges). Only other difference from Southwest, it applies to any companion added during booking - don't have to designate one. All your elite status perks apply - I'm diamond. I purchased the discount den ticket - so it works there.

But don't you need to accumulate 50,000 Frontier points to earn Platinum status -- and the free companion? That's a lot of points for a modest benefit. Unless you're using Frontier airlines for last minute peak day flying, your average fare should be around 50 bucks (or you're doing Frontier "wrong").

Unless I'm missing something, you need to accumulate 50,000 Frontier points (Platinum status) to get the free companion pass. As I've mentioned, I think this is very hard to do, and unlikely to be worth the effort for most.

Any updates on this? The comments applies to award but must call customer service or chat. However, called twice yesterday and they told me they can't do despite the website terms indicating yes but must contact.... Anyone have success at companion with reward?
