Refund process when using the WORKS with 100K status

I just cancelled a flight I had booked for next week. I had heard that when you book a flight with the WORKS, that you get a full refund back to your credit card. But I was only given the option to cancel and et a credit I can use for the next year (similar to Southwest system). Not a huge deal but I had read you can get a full refund and not just a future flight credit. Do I need to call in to get an actual refund?

BTW, I cancelled because instead of the direct from ONT-SFO that I'd booked it changed to ONT-LAS connecting to LAS-SFO. I did not get an email letting me know of this change. In the past I have. Aw, the price we pay for cheap fares with F9... Gotta love it.

To get a refund, you have to use the refund form: https://flyfrontier.custhelp.com/app/refund_request

I usually just leave it as a credit for future travel given the small amounts of money. The website is actually very good about letting you use the credit during the payment process. You can stack as many as you want, and you can use it when you book for others to pay for their seats and bags and such. The only problem is that they do not track your credits well. I have to keep a list.

Three of my mileage runs last year were either cancelled or changed to thru Denver with an over-night. So, get used to Frontier!

I am also 100k & The easiest way to get a refund is just to send them a message on their twitter. https://twitter.com/frontiercare all you need to do is send them your confirmation number & name and tell them you want to cancel & get a refund. They usually write back in a maximum of a few hours telling you it was canceled & refunded.

Anytime I have any issues that need taken care of I contact them this way. Their agents are all very helpful.

Hope this helps.
