Questions regarding voucher
Hi,
Flight was over booked and Frontier offered $1000 voucher, so I took it. I was not aware that you could use it only one time.
When I use the voucher can I have others travel with me and use the voucher for everyone's fare as long as I do not go over the $1000? GA said yes, however I cannot find that answer.
The GA said I need to redeem the voucher within 45 days but can travel anytime. I do not see that on the voucher, however the website says 90 days. Does anyone know what the expiration date is for redeeming?
Can I use the voucher on seat selections, bags etc?
Thanks in advance for answering these questions.

I believe the key is using the voucher all in one transaction. You can definitely include others on your reservation, I have done so in the past. You don't necessarily have to keep it to under the voucher value either, you can go above and pay for the difference with your credit card, or even another voucher.
I would be surprised if it expired in 45 days, 90 is pretty standard with Frontier. Were you at one of the out stations? Sounds like this GA wasn't the most well informed.

I think this is a scam that Frontier pulls, dangling a $1000 voucher in front of people in order to convince them to give up their seat but not telling them the voucher has to be used all in one transaction. Not many people can book one reservation and use up $1000 and they know that.
This is good information to know. If this opportunity is ever offered to me, I will ask if they'll issue it as four $250 vouchers. If they no, I'm not giving up my seat.

FWIW, airlines are supposed to be transparent about limitations tied to taking the voucher (see section C.3 here: https://www.law.cornell.edu/cfr/text/14/250.5), so if they neglected to inform you of the full rules you may have a valid complaint. Whether Frontier will do anything about unless you actually file a complaint with the DOT... not sure.

Well, I took the voucher on an oversold LAS-ATL flight late Tuesday night for $1,000. As has been mentioned with the restrictions, it sounds like a much bigger deal than it actually is. If I'm reading it right it looks like you can include others but have to have the reservation in your name and be one of the passengers. I'm guessing you can pile on the optional-fee stuff like the bags, and the flight flexibility would seem to be a biggie if booking something months away (like a September trip to Alaska), but I haven't actually tried booking on one of these so I dunno for sure.
They also gave me a $10 meal voucher, for which there's an online system where they want a credit card number to monitor and reimburse. It's a little creepy and I gave it a card I don't use much, but it picked up right away a $10.27 buy at Cinnabon and will credit the $10 as promised in the e-mail.
They even sprung for a hotel, supposedly, which turned out to be not-so-valuable because the hotel's shuttle stopped running at 10 p.m., the flight left at 11:54 p.m. and the being-bumped part wasn't resolved 'til an hour later. I didn't want to pay my own way there for maybe 4-5 hours, so I just stayed in the airport (which I'm sure is what they wanted me to do).
The saving thing for all of it was having another flight at just after 8 a.m. that they got me on and in an exit-row-window seat (same as what I had on the earlier flight). If the schedule were thinner or the subsequent flights also oversold (as can happen later in the holidays) it'd be too dicey a thing.
I used to be a frequent bump-ee on the legacies in the golden age of that maybe 15+ years ago, and that was definitely better compensation (and more takers). This one might be worth it, though barely, and I can see why more people would be reluctant to take.

Is the Frontier Travel Voucher at least better than the Spirit one? In terms of only applying to airfare and not taxes/fees.

"In regard to your question, is a full voucher, meaning you can use it to pay taxes and fees, as well as for additional services. "

Good for you! I would definitely clarify the terms of using the voucher in the future before accepting one. They can be flexible if the airline makes then so but are usually pretty restrictive on ULCCs.
