FrontierMiles Pool First earned first redeemed?

Hello! I have a question regarding the distribution of miles when an award flight is booked using miles from a family pool. I can’t seem to find my answer online and the social media team doesn’t know either. It’s a bit of a puzzle, but nonetheless still interesting. I am confused about how miles are redeemed from a family pool when an award flight is booked. Since it is not possible to select which, or rather whose miles are used I would like to ensure I know which member's points will be used in which order before booking an award ticket. I want to use the family pooling feature of my elite status to manage and redeem the miles in my family pool to my benefit, as the pool is intended. My current pool has three members ranging in point balances from 2,740 miles to my 103,562 miles. Some of my miles are as old as 2018 but have not expired due to continuous activity in my account. However, the member with 2,740 miles will have theirs expire within a shorter period of time as they do not fly with Frontier as often as I do.

As an example, If I were to book a 10,000 mile award ticket I would prefer that the account with 2,740 miles be used as well. However, if 10,000 of my miles are used instead, the 2,740 will not be touched and in essence expire if that member does not have any activity, thus defeating the entire purpose of the family pool. Even If I were to book for this member, I am under the impression that 10,000 of MY miles in the pool will be used instead of applying that member's balance of 2,740 and only redeeming the remaining 7,260 from the remaining members.

Is this an instance of 'first earned, first redeemed'? Does anyone have a solid answer? Can't seem to find it online and the social media team doesn't have an answer either. Submitted a ticket but don't have time to wait on hold for hours to not get a solid answer.

I have not booked an award ticket while being head of the pool before.

It is truly first earned. So if your 10k is the first earned that is what is redeemed. In the terms and conditions they have this regarding expiration:

Although a Family Pool allows for combined balances for redeeming, expiration dates are calculated based on a single contributor’s accrual history with the exception of contributors under the age of 18 will be granted an expiration based upon the Primary Account holders expiration date.
In my experience, they have not validated the age of the member though. So their miles should be based upon your activity as well.

Very useful question and answer, thanks! I am kind of resigned to the fact that I'll be losing miles eventually, when I can no longer keep up this juggling act lol
