Mother and wheelchair
I have a quick question. I’ll be taking my mom to CLE later this month for trip to Florida on Frontier. My sister in Florida requested a wheelchair upon arrival. Physically I think my mom would be fine walking. But her arthritis especially in the cold weather acts up. She really doesn’t want me to make a fuss, but will it be possible to get a gate pass to assist her?
I just don’t want to drop her off at the curb and leave. But, if I don’t help, I’ll get the Jewish guilt trip, trust me.
I have GE, so security isn’t an issue.

A gate pass can be issued but that doesn't mean one will. But honestly there are two other options. CLE isn't a very large airport so distances will be at a minimum. You could drop her off, park your car, bring any luggage she will have so that she can just sit inside the terminal until you get there, and then walk your mother to security where she'd then proceed on her own. Or you could also request wheelchair assistance to the gate. Depending on how your mother is she may not want the wheelchair going to the gate.
I'm well aware of Jewish Guilt myself but there needs to be some common sense limits on how far you go.

I'll move this to the Frontier forum, where it's likely to be seen by those who have experience obtaining gate passes from the airline.
