Free Carry-On on regular ticket?

Hello,

Under what circumstances would Frontier allow a free carry-on for a regular, Discount Den ticket? Is there ever a scenario where Frontier allows a free carry-on at checkin, without having purchased the Works package?

F9 doesn't show other ticket options now - just regular and Discount Den, so it's not a case of Classic Plus.

Do Discount Dens get a free carry-on?

If you have Elite Status you get a free carry-on.

If you don't want to go with the Works you can simply purchase a Carry-On or a Checked Bag (it's cheaper), although the WORKS bundle may make more sense. A carry on is $35 at the time of purchase.

NO

Are you sure you are talking about a Carry-On not a Personal Item? All fares include a free personal Item.

Free Personal Item

We know how important your headphones, laptops, and crossword puzzles are for your in-flight experience. All passengers are allowed one free personal item that will fit under the seat in front of you. It can be no larger than 14 tall, 8 wide, and 18 long (including handles, wheels, and straps). Think backpacks, purses, briefcases and computer bags.

I don't want to mess up a good thing, but for some reason I'm getting free carry-ons, and I did not buy Works, and I am not Elite. It's happened twice now. If there's no other reason I should be getting it, then it must be a glitch. Someone posted the same thing happening to them about 6 months ago.

Are they just letting you board with a carry-on or do you add a carry-on to your ticket and not get charged? Does ticket show you have a carry-on?

Add-on for free. Ticket shows carry on. Happened twice now, and someone posted the same scenario last year. Must be a glitch then.
