Schedule Changes

I just have a few questions. My CLE-RDU-CLE scheduled has been changed and I was notified via email.

The RDU-CLE one hour earlier is not a problem at all. However the CLE-RDU is one hour earlier. My daughter is finally graduating community college, and that earlier time won't work, I'll never make it to the airport.

My fare was $42.00. I'll need to take the next day flight which is on a Sunday but is it $72.00. I could go to Monday, but the fare is the same. Since F9 is changing the times, and it is an inconvenience for me, will I have to pay the difference for the next day flight? I remember when UA and EI did this, I didn't have to pay the difference. $30 won't break my bank, but I want to know.

ETA: Wait time on the phone are horrendous!

I have been on hold (cell, unlimited minutes) for over one hour and wonder if they they have enough staff to answer their phones. I used GetHuman.com for a back door number, still on hold.

This does not give me much confidence in an ULCC.

I seriously doubt they'll charge you for it, but I also wouldn't be surprised if they did. We're facing a similar situation where they changed our departing flight by 3 hours but I'm waiting to call until I have a list of options and hopefully they can help us with at least one of them. And all of this after it took 3 calls just to get us ticketed! Let us know what happens once you finally get through and good luck!

Great news. I spoke with the nicest customer service agent ever. Since the earlier flight won't work for me she offered Sunday at no charge.

She also said there were massive schedule changes and weather related issues especially Denver and that's why customer service was swamped.

Now her name escapes me, but she was great and we both made each other laugh. Especially when I told her my daughter is finally graduating community college after six years.
