August numbers

The T100 onboard loads are out for August, and I haven't posted this stuff in awhile. As always, remember that loads are only half the picture in financial results as they don't say anything about yield.

Thanks for posting these.

I'm impressed by some of the smaller markets with good load factors in Denver (CID, GSO, MDT). Though load factors don't tell the whole story obviously, despite the poor load factors on MCO-MDT, Frontier doubled down and is operating the route 5x weekly all winter.

Yeah, the loads only tell so much, but it still is interesting to see how remarkably full many of these markets ran. Also it would seem that often the lowest-load markets are among those scrapped. But it's certainly true that fare and traffic composition can make all the difference.

I also found the enplanements interesting -- I'd never have guessed MSP was #4 in the network, but it's a combination of being one of the largest Denver markets and some links to other focus cities. St Louis doesn't quite crack the top 20 in spite of several destinations because of so few Denver flights. (Note that these are only domestic enplanements, FYI.)

Yeah, let's hope MDT-MCO lasts. When it put less frequency, that only invited Allegiant into flying MDT-SFB and now the two carriers are splitting the market. AirTran used to have it to itself. Frontier should be flying it daily, otherwise Harrisburg customers will opt to connect in CLT or take nonstops from BWI.

knope- thanks for posting these.

Wow... ILG did fill those planes. Of course the tickets were sold for peanuts. But still impressive.
