Frontier out of GSO?
Does anyone have a sense if Frontier is going to keep flights out of GSO? I know that it's a seasonal flight, but I was trying to figure out if it was possible to do a connecting flight (two legs) with points through EarlyReturns.
I was looking at GSO-SJO going through DEN.
SJO is also a seasonal route, and the connections show up on the regular route map. I can book a (paid) GSO-DEN-SJO flight on 8/8, before the SJO route ends, but going through the EarlyReturns system for next spring, it doesn't show that it's possible.
Do I just need to wait for Frontier to extend their schedule out of GSO? Or are they cutting out connecting flights with points? So GSO-DEN would be a domestic, and DEN-SJO would be a separate international redemption? Or... what?
Thanks for any insight. :-)

As you say, GSO-DEN is seasonal and doesn't usually operate in the winter. In fact, they have extended the season until January 4, for the first time, I think.
But DEN-SJO is also seasonal and ends next week. It returns on December 19 for the winter season, so while there is about a ten day overlap of service, I don't think it is a viable connection from GSO. The website doesn't show it and there appears to be a long (24 hour?) layover in DEN even if you could self-connect.
Also, Christmas is a busy, busy time for SJO and it is already booking well, so I don't know what the situation with award tickets would be.
You may have more luck when GSO returns in the spring, usually April, by which time a little of the pressure is off SJO.

Yeah, I was thinking to try it for the spring... just wasn't sure if (a) it wasn't possible at all, or (b) not possible because of scheduling issues, in which case I should wait and see. Thanks davywavy.
