Can you transfer EarlyReturns points to hotel programs?

I have 4k miles expiring. Do Frontier miles transfer into any other programs? I would prefer hotel points.

They don't transfer into any other programs, but there are other redemption offers, besides those listed on the Frontier website. I am not sure if the minimal 4,000 mile balance qualifies for anything other than magazines, https://www2.magsformiles.com/10012393/splash.html, but I suggest calling the ER department at 866-263-2759 to check on other options, before the miles expire.

The 4,000 mile balance can be kept current by partner activity, such as car rental, hotel stay http://www.frontierairlines.com/freq...artners/hotels,floral order http://www.frontierairlines.com/freq...artners/floral, or shopping at the ER Mall https://www.skymall.com/frontiermall...dwestmilesmall and having the miles posted to your account. If you are running really short on time, until a mile-posting transaction will post, ask the EarlyReturns department to courtesy-credit your account (one mile), which will extend the account so that the existing miles don't expire, before any newly-earned miles are credited to your account. If you do that, it's best to make the appropriate purchase in advance, and then contact them; they will most likely ask for a copy of the transaction for proof.

For that low amount, maybe you could just donate them:

You actually can transfer to other programs using Points.com. If you go to that site, create a free account, and register your programs, you will see the transfer/exchange options. Just remember, you will lose points in the process as the exchange rates are not very good.

thanks I will donate the points.

I don't want to do anything to keep them active, as I never fly Frontier. I just wanted to know if there was any way to transfer them to something I DO use.

You could also see what you can get for them on Points.com. Some FTers do not like Points.com for reasons that are various and, for them, valid. Others, like myself, do.

You can exchange them directly to another program. Not all programs allow this, and the exchange rate generally is, erm, lousy, but you can do it.

Or, offer them up for trade for a program you do use. Again, not all programs allow this, and there is a trade fee on what you're giving up. For most programs it's 1cpm to trade. Some people object to paying the fee, but if you're not using them and someone's offering a trade that you consider a good proposal...

You can also redeem them for various gift cards. Like exchanges the rate is not terribly great (4k generally doesn't get you much) and not all options will accept Frontier miles, but it's free.

If you want to postpone their expiration, you can exchange some points/miles into Frontier. Most programs have minimums to exchange out of them, but US Airways doesn't. 5 US miles gets you 1 Frontier, which is enough to extend it two years.

Here's a thought: save them for this year's US Airways Grand Slam (if there is one this year, not confirmed yet). In last year's GS you got a hit for exchanging points into DM, and if you're not using them for something else.....and you can always do something with them later.

Though donating them is still a top-notch idea. ^

Points.com and an FYI

Points.com is especially good for transferring Frontier miles to other accounts--there are no fees associated with the transfer.

Also, FYI, although it does not say so on the Frontier website, you can still get a certificate for a stay at any Radisson in the 48 contiguous US states for 20k Early Returns miles--just make sure to call Frontier several weeks before your stay. Also, FYI, 30k miles will get you one night's stay at any Radisson in the world.

Hyatt used to have a similar deal with Frontier/Midwest, but Hyatt cut it off this year.

Other redemption options are also available, including for car rental, WI hotel and resort, AMTRAK, flowers, and Disney World. I seem to recall these as being available from the MidwestMiles program.

To redeem ER miles for any of the above options, a call needs to be made to F9 to place the request. It can take up to 8 weeks for the certificates to be processed.

EarlyReturns redemption options

Frontier has recently made a change to their website to now display redemption options, other than for magazine subscriptions or Frontier flights. It was about time!

http://www.frontierairlines.com/freq...-with-partners

Many of these options are carry-overs from MidwestMiles.

I believe that WDW Park Hopper pass is also an option for miles redemption, though I don't see it listed on the F9 website.
