Frontier website-- no chrome support

Frontier's website is really amateurish. It doesn't fully support Chrome (which is the number one browser in the WORLD as of recently), you can't select seats with chrome. And then, once you buy the ticket, you can't go back and select seats, you have to CALL them. And navigation sucks. Anyone else have problems using their website?

I use Chrome and have no problem selecting seats during the booking process. Being able to select seats after you've completed your purchase has nothing to do with Chrome. Frontier just hasn't provided that capability for any browser.

As far as navigation, that's a whole different animal. And, yes, the pun was intended.

Just checked on Chrome here (19.0.1084.46 FWIW, on Windows 7) and seat selection works just fine. Navigation has to be accomplished via browser back/forward buttons, but that appears to work okay. It's just a little unsettling

This is the first time I've gone through the booking process since F9 changed the booking UI (however slightly, from a functional standpoint). I still want better graphics for seat assignments, though the current ones are nothing if not clear..

Fun aside: $80 is the Economy-Classic Plus delta FAI-DEN in mid-August. You can't get E+ alone for that on UA. And their seat map looks like it came out of 2001.

When looking at round trip Denver to Puj on the web site non sto flights are every weekend starting on the 9th. When you add up the outbound price + inbound price the total doesn't match the total the website calculate I wonder if anyone has an idea why .

I suspect the problem is in the PUJ taxes and surcharges. Frontier is required to show the all-in fare on the front page. I suspect that the booking engine is not set up to properly do that with foreign taxes.

Thanks Lougord 99. It is probably the tax. I checked AA B6 and DL and they didn't have that problem with Puj so it must be the web site.

You really seem to have two complaints:

1) Technical issues (can't select seats in Chrome)
2) Usability issues (can't select seats post-purchase)

I generally haven't had issues using Chrome (my browser of choice). The only real issue I've ever had is that printing boarding passes via online check-in didn't work right, so I had to resort to using IE whenever I checked in. That particular issue seems to have been resolved a while back, though. I went through the process of booking a ticket today--using Chrome--and could select seats just fine. What build of Chrome are you on? I'm on 19.0.1084.46 (the current version). Also, are you on actual Chrome or are you using a Chromium browser, such as Rockmelt or Comodo Dragon? What OS are you using? I'm on Win 7 (Home Premium 64-bit).

Regarding usability issues, there are definitely things I don't like, such as clicking--which takes me to a different page entirely--, then having to enter my info on that second page, hitting the enter key, sitting there waiting a few seconds and then remembering I have to physically click the "Login" button with the mouse (that's ridiculous). That being said, the site is generally pretty functional (and the booking screens have gotten more attractive, recently, too).

Agreed. They've changed again since last week.

I booked a pair of tickets using Chrome this morning and am happy to report that it was a fairly smooth process - the only issue which I noticed was that on the payment screen, selecting the Country/State using my usual method (keyboard+arrow keys for speed), when I moved off the element (which had United States of America) selected, the Blur event reset the selection to (None) - I had to physically click on "United States of America" with my mouse to get it to actually select. Not a huge issue, in light of how much better Chrome seems to be working now.

On a related website note, noticed some very strange behavior WRT: promo codes... I booked flights from LGA using the recently-posted FLYF9 17% discount code, and it seemed to calculate the discount differently between the flight search and payment screens... The base fare remained the same but the Payment screen was about $9 cheaper.

I'm not going to complain about an additional discount, but perhaps we should start a consolidated sticky thread for posting website glitches, call it "Frontierairlines.com, a very strange animal"?

On the fare search screen-

On the Payment Screen:

I have early return miles with frontier I've been looking to use for months now.
Their website is horrendously. Their iPad interface is
Unusable
Pathetic for 2013 standards
