Spring 2012 competitive updates

Some competitive updates are starting to trickle out for spring 2012.

Before I post them, let me also mention a couple of MKE Frontier changes I noticed but had forgotten to post.

The 2nd MKE-PHL trip which was loaded to start in April was pulled. However the MKE schedule does not work out as-is, so other changes/additions/deletions are coming.

The EAS markets they are allowed to leave in March...IWD and MBL...appear to be ending May 10. Not sure what is leading to May 10, but that's what currently shows.

The EAS market they are not allowed to leave until a replacement starts up...RHI...continues to operate longer. MKE-RHI is loaded beyond Labor Day, but RHI-MKE is not for sale after 7/10. That's an obvious error to reconcile.

Now for the competitive changes:

DL will end MCI-AUS and MCI-MSY. That leaves only MCI-LAX and MCI-BOS of the spurt of MCI expansion last spring.

Speaking of MCI-BOS, it is planned to go to 2x this summer on DL.

DL's other potential-retaliation against F9 last spring, OMA-DCA, is ending as previously reported. However USAirways will begin a 1x/day OMA-DCA trip this spring. Unlike the DL flight, this is an afternoon DCA-OMA-DCA flight instead of a morning OMA-originating flight. US is small in OMA...Delta about 22.6% of all traffic, Frontier about 10.5% of all traffic, USAirways about 4.5% of all traffic.

DL will be ending MSN-DCA, but so far no word of USAirways picking it up.
