Frontier Newbie

Hi Folks,
I've never flown Frontier, but I need a flight from SFO-JAC & the usual suspects (United etc) are scheduled at dreadful times with long layovers.

Any of those experienced Frontier folks: should I take a chance? Any caveats or warnings? All info welcome!

Thanks so much...

When are you planning on flying? I have not flown Frontier to JAC before but taken them many other places. The biggest concern I would have is the weather in Jackson up until May. II think its worth the extra $20-40 for Classic to get checked bags and cheaper change fees. And the layover is only 2.5 h going and 25min or 2.5 going back.

What chance are you referring to? F9 is a good airline, with a good product. Caveats about F9? None that I wouldn't have any about any other airline - there might be weather that time of year. Get the Classic fare, check the bag, enjoy the ride.

Don't buy your tickets from an online travel agency. Buy them at www.frontierairlines.com so you can choose Economy, Classic, or Classic Plus fare.

Take a good look at each of the fares offered. I've sometimes seen Classic fares priced the same as Economy. Classic includes two checked bags.

Thanks so much...grateful for the experience viewpoint and suggestions. We're going in August, so weather although windy/tstorms, will not be as bad as winter.
