Problems at DEN

Due partly to kiosks and credit card machines being down at DEN this afternoon, lines at ticket counters extremely long. Combined with returning holiday travelers and full flights, this is not a good day for F9.

Yikes! And, the weather was perfect today, albeit cold.

Did you hear any specifics on what went wrong and when regarding the kiosks and credit card machiens? Was it DEN-specific, and did it last long?

Sometimes an outage like that will creat chaos in the system, but by evening when I looked at F9 in Denver it seemed like a relatively routine mix of on time and delayed flights. Hopefully the didn't just run on time while leaving lots of passengers behind. High load factors don't leave a whole lot of room for timely recovery, which is not unique to F9 these days but nevertheless can turn a run-of-the mill, crummy inconvenience into an angry, newsworthy situation.

The info came by way of a tweet; I don't have any personal knowledge.

Another unfortunate incident yesterday ( LAS), when an outbound aircraft had a flat tire, with nobody to fix it (due to holiday).

I saw that LAS tweet too. Hopefully that person made it back to Wichita today.
