Onboard Beverage Changes
Beginning 1/1/11 beverage options will be changing onboard all Frontier flights.
Coors Banquet and New Castle are being discontinued but will be available until stock is depleted.
Coors Light, Miller Lite and Miller Genuine Draft will continued to be offered for $5.
Specialty beers Heineken and Blue Moon - will now be offered for $6.
Now for the fun exciting part, Funkin brand mixers for Cosmopolitans and Margaritas will be available for $6.Ohhhh I can just here how that one is going to be used! Be nice when asking for it and give us a break if we mess it up

I just don't get why airlines refuse to sell a beer worth drinking. That list does not include anything resembling a 'specialty beer'.

Hey, hey, hey now... I for one will miss the Banquet beer. While it certainly is not classified a "speciality beer", it is certainly one very good brew.
Tastes are a lot like opinions. We all have our own.

Fair enough, but there is really nothing 'special' about Heineken or Blue Moon - both are mass-produced by large conglomerates. I understand that Coors and Miller products are safe choices and need to be offered, but I wish the airlines (all, not just F9) would show some creativity in their 'specialty' selections.

There are plenty of good craft brews in Wisconsin and Colorado they could feature on their MKE or DEN based flights but part of the problem is catering contracts and the ability to supply the planes.

And here I thought you all would have more fun with the Funkin mixers.

The competition"s Business Class offers that before takeoff. Keep your fingers crossed, Bedford indicated in his interview with WITI that business class hasn't been ruled out.
However, I wouldn't hold my breath.

While I would love to have b-class on Frontier, I agree with your assessment RSVP. Thank goodness, because I like to breathe.

I suppose that even a rather limited selection of craft beers would be a logistical nightmare, and the inventory probaly wouldn't move that well. Most beer drinkers know what a Heineken is, but only a very small segment of Frontier's total passengers would know what a Lakefront Riverwest is. Nice as it might be, it's probably wouldn't come close to covering added cost.
One good thing about just carrying mainline beer selections is that I won't be sitting next to the guy who asks the F/A "What beers do you have -- maybe something more nutty but not too dark. Oh wait, I think I had a wheat beer once, but I don't think that was dark, was it? I think it was Anchor Shore. I want that."
