Summit ER card
Today I recevied a welcome letter to Early Returns Summit, including a plastic membership card and a plastic bag tag with my name pre-printed on it.
Has Frontier given plastic cards for elite members all along? I believe regular members are only able to get a card by printing one out, yes? None of my other FF programs (none of which I'm elite in) have given me plastic cards, and I thought Frontier didn't give anyone plastic...but apparently they do.
Not the prettiest thing in my opinion...kind of a mustard color with clouds...but much nicer than just the paper card out of a printer.
Anybody know if Frontier has always been issuing plastic cards to elites, or if this is new?

Yes -- they were combined, and my original Midwest account was the one retained. The welcome letter mentioned that I was a MM Executive member, and that the corresponding Summit status will be maintained through 2010, and through 2011 if I have already requalified for the upcoming year.
My membership card already has an expiration of January 2012, so either they already recognized that I requalified as Summit for next year, or they are just grandfathering people in. The text of the letter is if but the card itself already shows Summit renewed for next year.

Thanks -- I'd heard complaints elsewhere about Frontier not giving out plastic FF cards (YX did for everybody) but it sounds like they don't give plastic cards specifically for regular members -- which is exactly the same way most everybody else does it. I thought perhaps elite didn't, but they do.

Welcome to the FT board!
Did you receive a plastic Summit card yet? Mine came when I got my Summit card, however it may be something which was triggered not by me earning or retaining Summit status, but as a gesture toward the former Midwest Miles Executive members who have been inherited by Frontier.
If you have not yet received a plastic Summit card, I'd wait to see if one comes with your Summit card when you eventually get it. If not, your best best may be to contact them and request one. Good luck!
