Test Flight (i.e. Market)
On today's MSP-DEN flight, the FA announced that DirecTV was being reduced to $3.99 as a test. The price also showed on the screen correctly.
Considering what we've read about the sales of DirecTV on short-haul routes, it's good to see F9 tweaking the price to see if they can stimulate demand. This flight is normally 1hr. 50 minutes nose-up/nose-down.

That's interesting to see. I'd also be interested to know how many purchased simply because it was "on sale."
Good to see them adjusting the nobs on all fronts and being thorough with the merger. Maybe they are trying to see if there is a price point that tv in the E90s makes sense. With the recent talk of removing smaller aircraft maybe they are considering a JetBlue approach to the fleet (E90, CSeries, A320) where there is a consistant internal product (TV and Internet). It also adds some interesting possibilities being able to codeshare with JetBlue and give the customer a similar experiance on both.
