That's a good choice to reflect their service to Central America and the Caribbean.

I would think the sloth better represents Central America.

The only reason anyone even voted is for the promo codes.

Of course not. Do you really care what is on the tail of the aircraft you fly on?

I, for one, prefer a rudder to be on said tail

While many adults may not care, I guarantee you many children do. I bet that literally every trip I've been on Frontier this year, I've heard children, families, etc. discussing the animals.

Again, don't discount the animals and the equity they create in the Frontier brand. While some may only care about a flight that gets you to your destination, there's no loyalty in that (because it's an expectation of each and every airline) and the good marketers understand it.

Besides, who cares if the only reason people voted was for the promo code? It brought tens of thousands of people to the brand and THAT is what marketing is about. Based on the number of votes, I'd say they were pretty successful too.

The selection of the newest spokesanimal actually got about 15 seconds of airtime in tonight's news telecast in MKE. Why?

F9 is certainly getting a lot of mileage and free advertising from this.

No because I don't have a choice on a F9 flight. Whatever shows up in ABQ or DEN is my plane. However, I believe most people want to believe there vote counted on choosing the new animal even if the contest was set. I think it is extremely short sighted to believe the only reason people voted was for a discount code. I doubt most people knew they got a code when they voted.
