Frontier Status match
What policy, if any, does frontier have for matching ff status. I'm 1k on ua and will likely start flying frontier as my primary airline.
I searched through the threads but didnt see anything more recent than a few years ago.
Thanks for your help!

I'd tried this just recently, but during bankruptcy and before the Republic buyout. I'm AA Plat, and at that point was Ascent on F9, and they said that status matches had gone away sev'l yrs prior. I then asked about a fast track program, and got a similar answer. Based on flying plans, I knew i'd hit Summit anyhow, but was looking for it faster
So, if you hear differently, you're either more persuasive, got a better agent at their freq flyer desk, or it's changed. Either way, I'm hopeful for you. F9 needs to attract & maintain premium flyers from other programs, espec UA and SW given the market here. I personally vote for some FF spiff for Denver based flyers, for marketshare gains!

I tried 2 years ago with no success (from UA). They answered that there are no status matches regardless of your status at other airlines.
Made Summit same year, main advantage compared to UA is no change fees (higher fare might apply).
Frequent flyer program is pretty bad compared to UA.

Ditto ... I tried it before the bankruptcy and recently and was told no such luck. Also told how quickly I could make it since it only required 15,000 miles. After they dropped YYC and YVR I'm putting all my eggs in UAL-MP. Last two years I came up 1,000-2,000 short of ascent.
I still have plenty of miles left from the Master Card. This was why I tried to status match as I wanted to use their "Choice" award seat on a flight and empty my account. Not even then would they do it.

I sent them a message too, haven't gotten a response yet. This thread suggests someone was able to get a challenge match. I can understand why they wouldn't status match, but for me I don't really want to get stuck in a normal coach seat when on my current airline(s) I can get exit rows and also a chance of an upgrade. Frontier/Midwest is slightly more convenient and cheaper, but I would rather have the leg room. I'll probably be reaching aspire status either way though, some flights they are much cheaper.

If you buy a Classic Plus ticket, you get a Stretch seat (Rows 1-4) for free. $15 with a Classic ticket, and $25 with an economy ticket. Since there is often not a huge difference in price, go with the Classic Plus ticket for Stretch seat and 150% mileage premium. Frequently, F9's Classic Plus fares are still cheaper than UA or WN discount fares. And, Classic Plus fares are fully refundable. I've always been able to get a Stretch seat if I check in early or online.
