Early return miles with Continental

I have to fly to New Orleans in March and am flying Continental. When I called CO to have my One Pass number put on the itinerary the agent said my frontier number was already on the itinerary (placed by my company travel dept) and that I would be earning early return miles on my continental flights. Is this new? Could the agent be wrong? I did not know I could earn Early return miles with Continental.

Sorry, but you won't be getting any Early Returns miles on this trip.

There was a time many years ago that CO and Frontier had a relationship - RDM only - no EQM. That's been gone for some time. As far as I know Frontier's only Airline partner is Airtran and that started very recently.

I thought the CO partnership ended in Feb 2001 when EarlyReturns was started. Prior to that I earned CO miles on my F9 flights.
