ff awards
I have the miles but I haven't tried to get an award on Frontier. How difficult is it to get a ff award? Maybe something like Midway to Lax or Midway to Vancouver.

Hi Jimster,
While i've never attempted to obtain award seats on those routes, some things to consider are:
1. Number of flights per day F9 offers on those particular routes. 1X a day service will net fewer redemption options.
2. Travel dates. Holiday travel...tougher.
Like most other programs, its always better to be flexible. Since you need to call f9 to check availability, have at least a couple options in mind - dates/times/airports.

MY husband and I were able to get PDX-MDW seats using miles in late June with about a week's notice. We were forced to use the new Elite 30K mile tickets, but at the time the cheapest fares on short notice were around $600 each, and we were also burning leftover Amex points, so it was worth it.....
We've also redeemed miles several other times at the standard 15k per ticket. We've always found them very helpful, friendly, and easy to work with.
