I booked a ticket to Denver from San Jose for $297 round trip. Is this a good rate considering WN wanted $334 for a stop in PHX?

Also my itinerary says "Snack or Brunch" what can I expect on the flights? I leave around 6:30 AM and depart around 9 PM.

Is it worth paying the $5 dollars for Direct TV I enjoy many of the channels listed so I'm thinking it's worth every cent.

Does Frontier use Airshow for their maps? Do they show the Airshow without those advertisements like Delata? Also is Airshow free or do I need to pay? Do they have any audio channels like Delta?

I never flew Frontier so I am hoping to get responses from those that have. Any more ideas about Frontier that you can give would be greatly appreciated. I love Airbus planes. And the legroom looks better than most airlines consdiering Delata has 30-32 in coach on the 737-800.

* I fly from SJC-DEN quite a bit and $300 is the regular price. I've paid a little more some times ($330) and a little less other times (down to $220 if it's a tue-thur flight).

Q: Are you on a mainline Frontier flight or a Frontier Express flight operated by Horizon air? Since I mostly fly the evening flights (SJC-DEN last flight on Fri) and (DEN-SJC last flight on Sun), I'm pretty much always on a jungle jet (regional jet) and they don't have Direct TV.

On those occasions where I do fly on the mainline (i.e.: connecting flight), I've been somewhat underwhelmed with DirecTV. It's nice to get it for free (if you are an Ascent or Summit member), but other than that, I would only buy it if I didn't bring a laptop or my MP3 player. You can check it out yourself b/c they typically leave it unlocked for the first 10-15 minutes of the flight.

Apparently you can fly on AA from DEN-SJC for $253 but you'll likely have to route yourself through LAX which is a delay but not as bad as having to backtrack to DFW.

Ahh SJC, I know this station well.

The 630AM flight usually features a warm bagel or a prepackaged muffin (currently a Blueberry or Appple Cinnamon) - not a full course meal, but it will definitely get you through the flight without going hungry.

Snacks are currently SunChips or Doritos.

DirecTV is available for $5 as well as TripFlix, which are first-run movies also available for $5.

Frontier does not feature audio programming on board - free channels are the Airshow (channel 13) and Wild Blue Yonder TV (channel 26) which has some short subject programming. Airshow features Frontier ads and onboard movie ads.

Frontier's seats have 33 inches of pitch, and feature winged headrests that you can adjust - definitely handy.

I guess since the elite offer started in Nov 2003, it was time to pull the plug.

As long as you enjoy them even with random interruptions. Every time they make an announcement (not just safety announcements) that seems to preempt every channel. They don't (can't) pause these channels (the way, say, AA typically pauses the movie tape during an announcement).

If you're just watching to pass the time but not anything in particular, then, it could be worth it. If you're ordering a movie (or watching a scheduled show) that you really wanted to see, and a key scene gets knocked out by an announcement, that could potentially ruin the whole experience for you. So it depends how you use TV as to whether you'd find that a problem or not.

Since I read in some post that Amex miles can be converted to F9 miles as of now, the automatic elite would pose the risk of serious skewing in the auctions, I suppose. Maybe the Early Returns people understand Gresham's Law; most programs don't behave like they do
