Question How to get comp'd?

I'm a 1K on United and will probably fly enough on Frontier next year to qualify for their highest elite level as well. Is there anyway I can get comp'd immediately to this level with my 1K status?

They call it their "Quick Ascent" program. See details here. It works basically like any other comp program. The site claims that it's a limited time offer, but they've offered it for at least a couple of years now and I can't imagine it going away anytime soon.

Thanks! Any chance they would comp me all the way to Summit as a 1K?

Probably not as most programs don't comp to the top tier. It is just 25k to get to Summit so it does not take that long.

There really isn't any difference between Ascent and Summit. I'm Ascent (although with less than 1,000 miles this year I won't be for long) and te only thing Summit gets you is alcaholic beverages. Big deal, I've usually got a spare $5 bill in my pocket if that's what I feel like drinking. Priority seating is a joke (no extra leg room, no seat blocking...), its simply the first X number of rows in the cabin. Trust me, you won't be missing anything if you are Ascent and not Summit.
