Frontier 737-300 configuration
Hi,
I was checking the seating configurations over at Seatguru.com, and Frontier is not listed. Checking the airlines that are, most of their 737-300s have the A & F seats removed in front of the emergency exit row, while US Airways includes these seats, but has extra legroom. Also wondering if the seats in the emergency exit row, as well as in Row #1, have fixed armrests with trays, or if they can be raised.
I'd like to go to Denver later this year, preferably a direct flight, so that leaves the choice between Frontier & United. United's emergency row/bulkhead seats are either in first or economy plus class. I thought I'd have a better shot at getting more legroom with Frontier. At 6'5", I desperately need those few extra inches of leg room.
On a related note, if these seats are not available, would getting two adjacent seats with the armrest raised be a feasible solution for extra leg room? Forgive me if this sounds strange, but it's been almost 20 years since I've flown anywhere, & my understanding is that the seat pitch is less nowadays than back then. The last planes I flew in were DC-8s & 727s, and I was always able to get either bulkhead or emergency exit rows, and back then the "normal" rows were just too small for my legs
Any info on this would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
Mike A.

I just flew in seat 12A last week, and can verify seats 11A and 11F don't exist, giving unlimited legroom for seats 12A and 12F. It also appears that 12A and 12F are the only seats in the exit row(s) that have tray tables in the armrests, as all the other seats have tables on the seat in front of them. It's safe to say the bulkhead row has them in the armrests.

Welcome to FlyerTalk, Mike A!
I can verify that your chances of getting a bulkhead or exit row are greater at Frontier. My impression is that Frontier is heavy on occasional leisure travelers, which generally aren't as savvy as frequent travelers in seat choice. This may change as Frontier grows in popularity.
I think you'll enjoy their service.
