Doc, the news media here in Denver have finally reported on the lines at DIA, due mostly to a city councilman who has had enough. Somebody has come up with a ranking and says that DIA is the third worst in the US. Apparently, there were four hour waits both Thursday and Friday of last week. If you have been to DIA, you may recall the kiosks behind both security areas for the train containing ATM's, phones, etc. Behind those, DIA put in place queing lanes much like you would see at an amusement park. I have seen the lines go thru these lanes and curve all the way back into and past the baggage claim area! Apparently the worst times are first thing in the morning.
Having said that, several of us have discovered that getting in line to go over the bridge to Concorse A is faster; simply drop down and get on the train from there. Frontier has also talked about taking over the operation of security at the entrance to the bridge as a customer service. It seems that our friends at UA now operate all security at DIA.
