Carnac
I am heading to Carnac at the end of the month and was wondering if anyone could give me some facts on:
water temperature
Wind speed
Bars
Restaurants
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Expect a water tempertature not above 19/20C.
For winds, check the very reliable windguru : http://www.windguru.cz/fr/index.php?sc=48488
As of bars / clubs, it would depend on your age (people can be very young in the summer) but I recommend :
- Baignoire de Josphine (aka "la B.J.) : 16 alle des alignements, 56430 Carnac
Atmosphere is regatta oriented with people from the "French sailing Mecca" (La Trinit sur Mer, few km south of Carnac)
- Whisky Club : 8 avenue des Druides, 56430 Carnac
For restaurants, I would suggest to go to La Trinit, on the harbour.
Carnac is quite large. Having a car there is better. Be careful to police checks if you are drunk though.

It's former US talk show host Johnny Carson as Carnac the Magnificent.
(which was the first thing that came to my mind as well upon reading the thread title)

Yep I will be sailing. Looking forward to it.
I have never been to Carnac but I have been to France many times and love it!
Just a shame Le Tour is not coming by so I could take a look.
