Wow, that's early (at least by my standards). Good to hear. I went a little later and saw lots of iris. As I said, the flowers are beautiful any time of the year, but I've been three times and IMHO, the best time to go is in September, when the gardens are at their peak in terms of density and color.

I've gone at least one time each year since 1992 - usually in the spring or fall. I have never been in the middle of summer. I agree that the fall is quite beautiful. We were there in October 2007 and there were still water lillies.
