My favorite rated Paris restaurant is Laserre. Besides the exquisite food, the roof periodically slides open allowing the sky to become the restaurant ceiling. It is terrific to eat here in summer when the sun sets late at night in Paris, and you dine beneath the stars. This is expensive French haute cuisine, but it is some of the best food I have ever eaten. My recommendations are as follows. The light green asparagus is huge and can only be found in France. Also the lobster salad(salad de hommard) makes a great starter. Chateaubriand is great for all beef eaters, and the salmon is always a great option. For desert, one has to try the mille feuille, a soft pastry with thin layered custards.
