Catacombs?

We will be back for a short visit to Paris and I am intrigued by catacombs. However, we have arthritic knees and tend to avoid stairs, so I wonder just how daunting the descent and climbing back out may be?

131 steps going down and 112 steps to get out at the other end.

Yes that's what I read and I am asking how much effort that may be?

That is approx 13 flights of stairs - no eay resting spots on the steps - so if you can't do 13 flights without stopping, I'd skip

Thanks, we went for day at the Louvre instead. Also many stairs but also elevators and benches to rest on. Was a great visit.

The stairs of the Paris catacombs are pretty steep.
