You will have access to the SC at HNL on the return by virtue of being in Delta One. The HNL SC is nice. A little small but usually decent food and drink options.
For meal ordering, you should receive an email from Delta 7 days before the flight which will have a link in the email that will take you to a webpage that will list meal options for your flight and allow you to select your preference.

Depends on the route. For domestic flights, nothing. If your delay is overnight, the DL Contract of Carriage (available online) states they will put you up in a hotel at their expense since the delay is not Force Majeure (like weather/ATC). But beyond that, there are no US regs or DL CoC terms that require they you give any compesation. If you happen to be flying from EU to US on DL (but not reverse), then EU261 delay compensation regulations would come into play.

Depending on length of delay, they might throw you some miles if you complain. I wouldn't count on them giving you a voucher. They aren't likely to care much about reason for delay unless it was an overnight one where they will provide hotel (or voucher if they couldn't get one for you) if the reason was a mechanical. Outside of overnight delays, for domestic flights they aren't really going to care because they don't owe you anything either way.

So, couple of questions on a schedule change
We had a schedule change on our return from Thanksgiving. 25 minutes later departure and arrival. Not a huge dealI assume it doesnt entitle us to anything change/refund-wise.
question is on notifications. I only know because we booked 2 tickets via Cap1 travel, which sent an email. The other 2 were booked directly on Delta, who hasnt notified us at all. Is this normal.
Then, after looking online, seems our aircraft/seats are all the same, but when I looked at the seatmap (on app) its telling me that I need to call due to schedule change. Can I really not see the seatmap/change seats? Flying UA mostly, Ive learned to check for additional changes once an initial change has hit. Should I be able to see the seatmap? Will that resolve itself, or does any schedule change result in an inability to change seats myself?

Retain upgrade with changed itinerary?
Hi - new one for me. Gold and upgraded on flight A of multicity trip. Want to change flights B and C, which are the following day. When I attempt to change flights on app, the system appears to zero out my seat assignments. Will I lose the flight A upgrade or will it reprocess me back into the upgraded seat after I purchase the change for the mid trip flights? Thanks.

You'll probably get a notice eventually.

Hoping to get a couple questions about RUCs answered...
1. How does the waitlist work with companions? If 2 people are waitlisted and only 1 seat is released into RUC confirmable inventory, does only 1 person clear?
2. I am hoping to use an RUC on SJU-ATL-LAX-KOA. It looks like SJU-ATL is likely to clear as a complimentary upgrade anyways whereas ATL-LAX and LAX-KOA will be tough. Is it possible to waitlist only for the ATL-LAX and LAX-KOA segments? And if only one clears, will I stay on the waitlist for the other segment?
Thanks!

Skymiles with family of 6, amex welcome offer pool?
I've only used Jeblue before, which allows for family pooling. I am about to book delta flights so am considering getting the amex delta gold card, with a 40k welcome bonus and 3x skymiles per $1 spend on delta.
I understand my wife and each of my 3 kids will get 5x miles for the ticket cost of flight, and those points will be linked to them, and can only be used for flights in their name.
My question is...what about the 40k welcome bonus, and the additional 3x per 1$ from the amex card. Can that only be used for the card holder, or can it be used for the kids tickets? Can it be combined with each kids base skymiles? Trying not to end up with the cardholder have a lot of points, and everyone else having small unusable amounts. If that's the case, I may just stick with another card for the flexibility.
Thanks for your help!!

And I have never understood the logic behind this. My wife and I take turns "paying" for award tickets so we are on the same PNR.

Not really a newbie but the question probably qualifies! My status progress, when calculating pending and upcoming, is including a Skymiles redemption ticket. Will this actually earn medallion status? Or is it a web glitch? I did not do PWM

A Delta award ticket on Delta metal will earn qualification toward status.

2. Yes you can have the agent apply the cert to only those segments. If you clear one, you will stay on the waitlist for the other. Also if you clear one, you can call in and have it extended to your SJU-ATL flight as well, as long as they are all on the same PNR. Even if you would get it via complimentary upgrade, better to get it early for better seat choice.
