Any updates on transiting through CDG?
Good morning,
I posted this to AF but unsure if this is a better spot...
I wanted to see if anyone has transited from USA through CDG to a country outside EU since the new rules as of Jan 31. I received an email included below requesting a sworn statement and I am unsure of which one I would need since not "entering" France.
Thanks!

You already had the anwers in the AF forum. Yes, you can transit in CDG without problem. The sworn statement is just one of the thousands stupid and useless from around the globe to swear that you don't have covid or symptoms of.

As with all international travel, you should run your details through TIMATIC. You will need your country of citizenship, residence, origin of trip, destination & transit/connecction.
Check now and then again before you leave for the airport.
This advice will not change no matter how many times you ask it.

Restaurants/cafs are closed throughout France and have been since October. I was at CDG a few months ago and the Relay stores were open. You can purchase takeout items; drinks and sandwiches.

if I were you, with such a long transit, you should consider paying for AF lounge access.

but i'll still have to end up spending close to 7 hours in the lounge....if some shops & restaurants were open then i could have killed a couple of hours browsing around....

There are so many threads that I'm not sure where to post this...
Flying JFK-CDG-BER tomorrow. From various sources (Traveldoc.Aero, TIMATIC, Germany gov't websites) I'm reasonably confident that since I am just transiting CDG I don't need a Covid test prior to the flight. I've completed the German travel form and will have to get a test there within 48 hours. All sounds right?

more than half the duty free shops are open however most of them are not allowing you to come inside....you can tell the sales executive what you are looking for & they will bring it over to you....you can't try anything on though....
a handful of shops like solaris & relay stores are completely open....
starbucks was open for takeout only & so were a couple of other eating establishments....
i spent most of the time in the lounge though, which was completely full the entire time....you don't have access to the buffet directly & can let a server behind the food counter know what you want & they will take it out on a plate & give it to you....the tables were cleaned regularly everytime the staff came by to pick up plates & glasses....there was no social distancing since all the chairs & sofas were full....they were pretty strict about mask wearing & there was an announcement every 10 minutes reminding people to put their mask on when they were not eating & drinking....
