Tight Connection at CDG
Dear Users,
I have a bit of a problem: My mother and me have a connecting flight on Oct. 1st at CDG. We are coming from Ghana (with a technical stop in Burkina Faso) and heading on to Vienna/Austria. We arrive 6:10 am in the morning, the flight to Vienna leaves at 7:10 am, so we only have one hour to get to the other plane.
My four questions are:
1) Should we check in online for the flight from Paris to Vienna even if chances are we miss it?
2) Will there be ground stuff waiting for us to take us quickly through the airport?
3) Is it best to go by the underground/metro to get to the other terminal?
4) Do you have any advice how to get quickly through the airport?
We would be very thankful for some help!
Kind regards,
Steve

Okay, so you'll be protected, if you miss the Vienna flight AF will put you on the next one. You should check in as normal
The Accra flight arrives in terminal 2E and the Vienna flight from 2F. Follow the signs for connecting flights to 2F, you may need to take a train within 2E first then you walk from 2E to 2F and clear Schengen immigration on the way
No escort from ground staff unfortunately

Just to clarify, if you miss your originally scheduled connection, you will be booked on the next available flight. The next flight may or may not be the next available flight.

Thanks, yeah I got it. I just can't see how we are supposed to make it with immigration and going by metro... and I mean we are not going to make it if the flight is just 10 minutes late... I don't know why Air France offers this stupid connection

Looking for and asking for help at the airport using incorrect names could cause you to miss your flight.
