Advice: Driving from Milan to Marseille

Advice: Driving from Milan to Marseille
So we are going a European Delivery of our new BMW, what is a realistic time frame to drive between Milan to Marseille? Would would like to stop in Monaco on the way. Might stop in Nice, or we might take a day trip back up to Nice, and what is the realistic travel time for this route. I see that there is a road that hugs the coast line too, is it worth it or should we stick with A50?

Before and after Monaco there are some beautiful stretches of roads on the coast. It will take much longer of course, but its worth it especially if you have a cabriolet.
