Thinking about heading to Paris this weekend

I have a few questions:

I really want to head to Paris this weekend. The flights are pretty affordable, and I am sick of NYC and the American towns.

If I leave Friday night, I will arrive Saturday morning. My plan is to leave Sunday night. IS this even doable?

Where would you recommend staying? I am looking at the Hotel Amour:

Or is this not a good idea?

Why would you think it's not doable?

Just thinking there won't be enough time to enjoy all the sites.
Airfare is less > $800 this weekend.

Well you're not going to be able to do everything in 36 hours. Plus a lot of Paris is closed on Sundays. The markets are nice and some of the restaurants will be open. However, it would be a great weekend away.

Edit: worked paid for me to go to Corsica, so I will rack up some surfing days in the process.

You will be in Paris on the first Sunday of the month--most museums are free on that day.^
Have you ever been to Paris before? Your answer will play a big part in what you do when you get there.
