I didn't realize how addicting making the loans can be. It's fun choosing a borrower from each country! I'm up to 32 loans since I joined last week; hoping to push it to 42 in the next few days. Gotta push the FT group higher!
Use the bill pay feature at your bank to send Zidisha a check. That avoids all fees.

Please join. If you do, use a link and then join the MilePoint team (Flyertalk does not have a team yet). Using the link doubles your impact at the team level. My link is https://www.zidisha.org/index.php?refid=3284 but you can ask any team member for their link info. Another link is https://www.zidisha.org/index.php?refid=3287.

Do we want a Flyertalk team at Zidisha? If so, if I can get moderator permission I'll start one and then turn over control to whoever wants it.

Unlike Kiva, if you belong to more than one team, each team gets full credit for all of your loans. So $100 in loans could be $100 to the milepoint team and $00 to the Flyertalk team. Even better, once you join, all loans including earlier ones count.

For now I encourage people to use my link when joining. It is https://www.zidisha.org/index.php?refid=3284 . Then join the milepoint team and if open the Flyertalk team.

Milepoint is now the number one team on Zidisha. Join and help it grow.

Since FT does not yet have a team, you might want to go to https://www.zidisha.org/index.php?p=80 and join the milepoint lending group. Right now it is the number one team with over $96,500 in impact.

BTW, if someone wants to form a FT team, I will join. Loans count for each team you join. So if I lend $100 and join three teams, each teams impact increases by $100.

Many of the groups found on Kiva are here at Zidisha. FT would be a welcomed addition.

I've been lending with Zidisha for almost a year now.

My way is to use the automated lending feature. If you want to preserve your funds long term you need to set your interest rate to at least 10% in order to offset losses from people defaulting (although I think Zidisha are getting better at screening the borrowers as time goes by). I set the automated lending feature to lend to whoever's loan application is going to expire soonest. It lends out $10 for each borrower. I have $1000 in Zidisha, so I have a large portfolio of borrowers.
