Is there a case for IAG to buy AY/into AY...

If you want to see airline cyclicality/volatility look at the 15 year graph. Peak of €13 in 2007 and 2018 and 6.5c today...

Maybe, but the shareprice change today is a purely technical drop because of the rights issue

Why would IAG buy AY ?

There must also be a seller in the transaction.

I also find it strange that this IAG buy out is so popular topic. Hasn’t the Finnish government said it many times they have no intention to sell the majority share of AY as they want to keep the control for national reasons? Also if they sold, they’d only make pennies so no real financial motivation either.

So now I understood it why service and customers are not needed, neither labor such as FA.
Since those are useless in a war. So State wants to only keep the pilots, competence and infra related. Customers can be slaughtered 😄😄😃😃

The government has said that many times, but we know that political winds can change quickly. In case that happens, the politicians in power don't care if they make money with selling the company or not - then it's most important to get rid of the shares before the next elections (which usually results in a shift of power).

Whatever, please keep speculating on the IAG buy out all you guys want😁

I can take (large) bets against IAG becoming a majority stake holder at AY before 2030. PM me if interested and we can agree details in writing with bank guarantees etc. 👍

6c can't be bottom. Today's 6c is higher than last week's 28 C. If this is the bottom (I don't think it is) then last week was the bottom.

No. Around 3 cent is my best guess.
Edit. Maybe 3 cents is a bit harsh, but 6 cent is certainly not the bottom. 🙂

Actually it didn't drop 70% but it went up 43%. Price without the rights offering should have been something around 0,04 but for some strange reason it went over 0,06c. This is really weird situation and people are basically paying way more on Finnair stock now than last week.
